 Maggid ben Yoseif replies
to Sanhedrin ruling council spokesman

Rabbi Michael Shelomo Bar Ron, spokesman,
Ruling Council
Great Sanhedrin of Israel

Dear R. Michael,

When the plower (Judah) and the harvester (Joseph) approach one another with good will and understanding, when they recognize that Israel at peace with itself has much to learn from each of its members, Ha Rav Gedaliah Schorr said the Redemption would be upon us.

As a result of the closeness of Judah and Joseph, the Zohar states "many benefits were caused for the world," including peace between all of the tribes and the "revival of the spirit of prophesy."

It is with trembling hands and a pounding heart  that I reply to your clarification knowing that the Redemption could be at the very door and I for one, want very much to keep that door open between the Sanhedrin ruling council and the Joes.

However, the Zohar also states that the world of Joseph and the world of Judah were two different worlds. When Joseph and Judah  confronted one another, Bereshit Rabbah 93:2 on Psalm 48 states that the two leaders were "enraged at each other.  This terrified the other brothers who said, 'What affair is it of ours? It is proper for a king to contest with a king!'" And Tanchuma, Vayigash 4: "The angels said to each other, 'Come, let us descend and see the ox and the lion butting heads. Normally, the lion strikes terror into the heart of the ox and here they are contending with one another."

Noahites have no place at the table of kings. Judah and Joseph must be able to butt heads and hopefully reconcile in private.

1)    According to the Mishnaic interpretation of nivrecu in Bereshit 12:3, the Rashbam, Chizkuni, Da'as Zekeinim and Tur see the seed of Abraham as being grafted or intermingled into every family of the earth. By definition, this cannot apply to Judah since Halacha forbids such Assimilation. It applies to Joseph-Ephraim though the judgment of Yizra'el (Jezreel or the seed God will scatter). The Noahite movement believes it -- the Noahites -- are the only ground fit for non-Jews and therefore works at cross-purposes with the recognition of the House of Joseph as fulfilling this birthright promise and reconciling the seed of Joseph with Judah.

2)    My petition to the Sanhedrin did not request a "mass" conversion, as is being planned for the Noahites to make them guer toshavim, an Halachic status which is unacceptable to Joes, since it also does not allow us to reclaim our inheritances.  We merely are seeking the authority from Jerusalem for local rabbis around the world to begin converting Joes under the special category of "giur la-humra" (conditional conversion subject to the revocations you stipulated) that would allow Joes to retain their tribal identity and ancestral inheritances at the time of the Jubilee. There is no need for a religious bureaucracy to oversee Joes. The local rabbonim can handle the responsibility as they would any convert.

3)    Your objection to the term "world tzaddik," first you must admit is not your own objection; it is that of a Noahite leader who was never taught and never considered the purpose of Y'shua's ministry related to reconciling the judgments of Yizra'el, Lo-ruhamah and Lo-ami. But I would defend Y'shua/Jesus being called a world tzaddik because his work of regathering Israel is worldwide and he is/was a tzaddik.

4)    You have already grilled me at length about my beliefs concerning Y'shua/Jesus but for the benefit of the public nature of this message. I concede that according to Halachah he was not a prophet, since he is not recorded as beginning any of his declarations with "Ko amar Hashem" (Thus saith the Lord), which Halachah requires of a prophet.  I told you I did not believe he held the "office" of "messiah," but the word moshiah  meaning simply  "one who is anointed" did fit with his mission and "his" gospel to "raise up the tribes of Jacob and restore the preserved of Israel" which he was anointed by God to initiate and oversee.

5)    I cannot speak for the Joes who are receiving their spiritual direction from messianic Jewish leaders or Trinitarian Ephraimite leaders, but I can tell you that the vast majority of the some 700 Joes on my email list and most of the Joes to whom they circulate my writings do not pray TO their tzaddik and do not hold beliefs of sh'tuf (association with Deity) about him. But as is the case with every other tzaddik alive or already in the World to Come, the tzaddik, who straddles both worlds, does assist our prayers to Hashem.

The Sh'loh HaKadosh wrote that as long as Judah feels toward Joseph as an Esau might, the oppression of Esau continues against Judah. Historically 10 of the Mishnah's greatest sages were chosen by Rome for barbaric execution. The sages say this was because of the sin of the 10 brothers who sold Joseph into exile. The very survival of the Jewish people is at stake. Only Joseph can save Jacob from Esau as the writings of the Gaon R. Eliyahu of Vilna make clear and as I have stated in my petition.

There is much I could learn from you, my brother, but also much I could teach you starting with the heart of Joseph for his brother, Judah, and the heart of Judah for his brother, Joseph. But bringing Noahites to our table is not evidence to me that you are seeking good will and understanding.

I know your superiors want you to promote the Noahite agenda. Please try to impress them that with Maggid ben Yoseif this will not be possible. But now my entire email list has your email address, should they want to contact you directly. I will not stand in the way of any Joe who chooses the path of the Noahites. I just think it is discriminating against Joes to require them to do more than any other convert and this is an unnecessary delay re: our 2008 deadline about which I have already written to you.

Shalom Shalom and Hashem's love & blessings,
MbY

Mapping the problem

The outline of Judea-Samaria (above) shows that the northern two-thirds of the proposed Palestinian state (according to the pre-1967 borders), forms a partzuf of a head and crown. The two maps below show this region as (A) the biblical inheritance of  Ephraim, M'nashe and part of Benjamin or the non-Jewish House of Joseph, who is promised its return to the biblical Birthright. (Jeremiah 31:15-18, Hosea 2:1-2, Isaiah 49, and others)

3D Map of Israel

and (B) A 3-D map of Israel (above) that shows Judea-Samaria is the high ground, containing all of the mountains of Israel, except the small Carmel range near Haifa. High ground given to a hostile neighboring state, spells S-U-I-C-I-D-E.

The non-Jewish House of Israel will reunite with the Jewish House of Judah 'ON THE MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL'  (Ezekiel 37:22)

And how to solve it:

A sacred use for Judea-Samaria (to reunite Joes and Jews) mandates a different region for a Palestinian state. Thus "The Zechariah Plan" introduced below.
